About Us

Have Hope Foundation (HHF) is a nonprofit organization founded by the former Miss Ethiopia-USA, (Zewdi Reda). Have Hope Foundation was established in order to help poverty stricken, orphaned and abandoned children, as a consequence of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ethiopia.

Zewdi Reda: “ I started HHF 3 years ago to  help HIV/AIDS orphans in Ethiopia. In the last three years, i have been going to Ethiopia every year and providing orphan children in Addis Ababa, Sebeta,  and Mekelle with things like blankets, pillows, shoes, food, and just recently this year I gave 60 girls pads to last them a year with two underwears each. I raise funds through my website, and also I do fund-raising events. Currently in addition to helping HIV/AIDS orphans, HHF is starting a pilot program to educate children in rural Ethiopia. Education is almost obsolete in the villages. Children also walk for miles to attend school. This program, would be able to bring education to few of the chosen villages, to prevent them from the long walk to school. We will be able to teach basic reading, writing and math to young children.”
